SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 16
(By Senators Tomblin, Mr. President, and Jackson)
Congratulating the Chapmanville ten and under girls' softball team
for winning the state and regional championships.
Whereas, The Chapmanville ten and under girls' softball team
had an outstanding season, winning the Logan County All-star
championship which earned it the opportunity to participate in the
state's ASA championship playoffs; and
Whereas, The Chapmanville ten and under girls' softball team
participated in and won, for the third consecutive year, the
state's ASA championship which earned it the opportunity to
participate in other championship competitions; and
Whereas, The Chapmanville ten and under girls' softball team
participated in and won the USSSA championship, the Midwest
Regional championship and the Northeast Regional championship; and
Whereas, These championship wins are a credit to the
outstanding coaching ability of David Evans, Steve Dalton and Brian
Burgess, along with the athletic ability and sportsmanship of each
team player: Devon Bennett, Kassie Burgess, Brooke Carey, Danielle
Dalton, Lori Beth Dingess, Kelli Elkins, Stefanie Evans, Susan
Garrett, Amber Kirk, Keili Mays, Jordan Mullins, Ashley Oldani and Destini Ritchie; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates the Chapmanville ten and
under girls' softball team for an excellent season and for winning
not only the state's ASA championship, but also the USSSA
championship, the Midwest Regional championship and the Northeast
Regional championship; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to the coaches and team members of the
Chapmanville ten and under girls' softball team.
